VIOLENCE versus the Patience and Faith of the Saints:

Wide spread violence is the trademark of the end days……..

The Patience and faith of the saints is the anti-thesis of violence:

Patience is longsuffering and mercy. The contexts of these passages make it clear that it means non-violence, non-retribution, non-wrath, non-vengeance. In Other Words, following Christ’s example and dying to self.

This is the KEY to Biblical Christianity.

2 Thessalonians 1: [3] We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
[4] So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
[5] Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
[6] Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
[7] And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
[8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
[9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
[10] When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
[11] Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
[12] That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

In your patience possess you your souls:

Luke 21: [10] Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
[11] And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
[12] But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

[13] And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
[14] Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
[15] For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
[16] And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
[17] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
[18] But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

[19] In your patience possess ye your souls.

I remind you of the church/type of believer God describes with Philadelphia in Revelation:

Revelation 3: [7] And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
[11] Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Him that overcometh
(the love of the flesh and this world) will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
[13] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Romans 8: [35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
[36] As it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

The first century believers were hunted and killed for their faith and patience.

They were persecuted, hunted and killed by the Government of that day.

Just as occurred previously before God's Wrath was poured out upon the wicked, unbelieving world, so shall it be again and very soon for the love of many is waxing cold. Note yet another reference to the days of Noah: Violence is spreading now throughout the world and it will get worse with multiple civil wars sprouting into national wars ending nuclear in the coming months.

Genesis 6: [1] And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

[2] That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Sons of God means believers. This passage indicates that the women were unbelievers which angered the Lord. He wants His children to be separate from the world of unbelievers. Because of these unequal yokes our Lord reacted this way:

This was PRE-LAW and the principle of God remains the same. If we walk with Him in trust and belief WE ARE NOT TO BE UNEQUALLY YOKED WITH UNBELIEVERS:

The influence of the flesh and the natural man is too strong to feed it by conversing with unbelievers. Believers are to separate themselves and only deal with unbelievers through the GOSPEL.

2 Corinthians 6: [14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
[15] And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
[16] And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
[17] Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
[18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

[3] And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

God limited lifespans to 120 years at this point due to their sin noted in verse 2 above.

[4] There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The giants mentioned here are those animals uncontrollable by men. The dinosaurs, the mammoths, etc. the Book of Job describes.

These giants are not some reference to angel/woman copulation. Note the context above “and also after that,” this separates the verse into two thoughts unrelated to each other.

Men of renown is described elsewhere in Scripture and has NOTHING TO DO with any giant hybrid humans.

Numbers 16: [2] And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

[5] And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Just like today.

[6] And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

[7] And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Our Lord’s Heart changed toward man. He will only allow so much rebellion.

[8] But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

[9] These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Noah’s parents, grandparents and those before them all worshipped the God of Heaven and passed that knowledge and worship of God to their children. Just as Noah did with his wife, his sons and they to their wives.

Genesis 5: [22] And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: [24] And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Spend every minute of the day talking to God. Praising God, thanking God, begging God for others, begging God for strength and Truth from His Word.

[10] And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

[11] The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

[12] And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

Just like today, every person does what is right IN THEIR OWN EYES.

[13] And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Violence is the opposite of righteousness. If we have the Spirit of Christ indwelling us than we will show the patience and faith of the saints.

Psalms 11: [5] The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
[6] Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
[7] For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

[14] Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

[15] And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

[16] A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

[17] And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

Isaiah 43: [11] I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. [25] I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

[18] But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.

[22] Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
