No New Testament pastor is called directly or supernaturally by God, it is impossible according to Scripture.

God's model of the local New Testament church and its leadership was abandoned in the 4th Century AD and replaced with satan's masterpiece, the Roman Catholic Church.

The reformation did not return anyone to God's model but simply changed nicolaitan rulership from Rome to individual protesting leaders of these newly reformed denominations. Apostasies abound in all the protestant sects, including all baptist and charismatic sects.

How could this be? These church age pastors claim a supernatural calling of God to lead God's people. Looking at the examples God provides in His Word, could these men in error be supernaturally called, empowered and gifted by God like the Apostles and Prophets before them? Not by a long shot my friends.

Now we have been given God's perfect Word, written by direct Inspiration of God through those men He actually did directly call. His complete Revelation to man rebukes the apostasies of these foolish church age pastors who think God has directly called and anointed them.

Pastors exampled in the NT were chosen in one of two ways but both ways required first their “desire” for the office (which eliminates any supernatural “calling” in itself) including the notion that God put that desire within them (a pathetic stretch of fiction not even hinted at in the context of pastoral qualifications) and the meeting of all qualifications currently (not life long as many led by men think). Either the church planter appointed an elder to pastor this newly formed, New Testament neighborhood church or the pastor was chosen from among the elders already within that church. Please realize that in Scripture, evangelists were traveling Church planters (not conference speakers). In these cases documented in Scripture, the evangelist would adjudicate the elders with desire for the office and appoint a pastor from that very same assembly.

In both methods, when the chosen elder no longer desired the office or no longer currently met the qualifications they were replaced by another volunteer elder in that church who currently does meet both desire and qualifications. This is the logical counter for the principle of desire and qualifications as clearly spelled out by God.

In addition, the qualifications listed for pastors are linked directly to God's New Testament Model of His New Testament Church. This model is the local community or neighborhood assembly meeting in  elder's (pastor's) homes. Carefully notice that all listed qualifications are presented by God in the present tense. These qualifications make little sense when applied to the Roman (RCC)/Protestant model of an empire-building, nicolaitan tabernacle which elevate men and not Christ.

However, these qualifications make perfect sense when applied against an elder volunteer's home. The home in which the assembly members would assemble to worship. How the man lives becomes an open book to all and nearly eliminates the possibility of deception by a wolf in sheep's clothing.

This cultish problem stems from church age pastors thinking they are called by God individually like the Apostles and Prophets before them. It is this nicolaitan "calling" that mocks God and His New Testament. A direct "calling of God" for pastors is as far from Scripture as a female pastor is. It perpetuates the false notion of apostolic succession-ism. To apply out of context Scriptural authority given the Apostles and their direct disciples during the first century before the Word of God was complete to yourself as a pastor is apostasy at worst and carnal at best. They transform themselves into the apostles of Christ.

It is exactly the same premise the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) initiated and the protestants kept. Nowhere in the NT does God say or give even one example of a NT pastor being called by God. They were all chosen by men according to their desire for the office and their meeting of all qualifications. There is no direct calling from God for a church pastor just as there is none for a deacon.

When the Apostles and their disciples who had God's gifting and empowerment died, what was left? A network of neighborhood local churches with two offices only: Pastor and Deacon.

To summarize:

Apostles=Directly called by God and given the ability to empower their direct disciples.

Apostolic disciples (ex. Timothy, the evangelist NOT pastor-nowhere does God say Timothy was a pastor) were called, taught and enabled by God through Paul.

After this direct calling and empowerment from God died with the Apostles and their disciples, the local home/community church with pastors and deacons is all the remains through the end of this age. There are no powerful or great men of God in this age, only servants according to our Lord.

Having said that, do we really think God enables these modern day false teachers (and all of them are false teachers without exception)? Or chose them? Or gifted them? Even the most fundamental and sincere pastors are in error in many areas. How could this be if God placed, called, enabled or gifted them directly? Can anyone see where prophets were ever wrong?

I have never heard of a pastor or minister during my lifetime who does not claim this direct "calling". How do you as an individual reconcile this with Scripture? Do you tell yourself that your particular pastor is "called" because he is right about everything? Here is a hint in Scripture: those directly called of God were used to write His Word and error was impossible.

If you survey the New Testament Epistles it becomes clear very quickly that these truly called "directly by God" Apostles spent all their time rebuking the apostasies creeping into local churches from men NOT directly called of God. Those men claimed their calling at the time as men who claim to be Apostles, but are not and God has found them to be liars. You say, well they don’t claim to be Apostles now. Truly? Please consider that there is no instance in Scripture where a pastor is directly called of God. They were chosen by the assembly or the planter and only if they met the qualifications. So, the Lord is referring to these foolish men.

Think of it this way also for clarity: God directly inspired His Word through these men He directly called, therefore error was impossible.

Pastor/Elder: Preaches God’s complete inerrant Word without direct or further revelation from God.  No Revelation directly than interpretation is based solely on the person’s walk with the Spirit, if walk is weak, so will doctrine be. They are directly linked.

  • Called of God means no errors period

  • Called of men (errors are inevitable)

Now pastor, do you really think you are “called” directly by God or spiritually above other believers? That is what the manufactured “calling” of God nonsense is all about. What does Jesus actually say:

Matthew 23: 5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Not in the lip service modern "men of God" give, but in leading by Christ's example. These men's pride of life is not even satisfied with the title "Pastor" or "Reverend", many need more, like: Doctor ahead and Th.D, DD, etc behind their names which they make sure are posted in as many places as possible. Usually several times more than the name of Jesus is posted in their flesh-loving tabernacles.

Why do I press this issue? All false doctrine comes from these nicolaitan apostates. These men who want so badly to be esteemed of men have lead you far away from God's Truth. Please see the About this Website page for further explanation.

This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

A bishop then must be blameless (truly blameless that is), the husband of one wife (or the home would be contrary to God when the pastor has multiple wives). Multiple wives was widespread practice and is still in practice in some parts of the world., vigilant (over his small flock), sober (all the time, not just while away at the tabernacle) , of good behaviour (truly and all the time), given to hospitality (well, they meet in his home, duh), apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) You see, if the assembly met in the elder's home, all of these previous qualifications would be on display constantly like an open book- GET IT?  Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

When men's heads were little in the first couple of centuries after our Lord's Ascension, God's True Church would spread house to house, neighborhood to neighborhood and community to community, turning the known world upside-down. The Roman government could not execute the Christians as fast as they were reproducing. In addition, even the pagan roman public lost the stomach for the constant slaughter of Christians. So to solve this problem, satan inspired the creation of a government controlled and ran "church" that will apply "christian terminology" to ancient roman pagan practices and idols.

The Roman Catholic Church was born around 300AD. This state-created and sponsored "church" effectively stopped the wild-fire spread of God's New Testament churches by centralizing and controlling them.

It is the sadly contradictory for ones who claim such advanced theology to miss these simple truths. Even the simplest of truths will be grayed when pride creates the desire of power, authority and reverence within men. It is the Bible definition of "mammon". Compromise to keep the bills paid. Bills created from a fictional model of God's New Testament Church.

Along this same vein, institutions of higher learning are not of God in any way, shape or form either. This idea also came out of the Roman Catholic Church and stayed with the protestants. This concept is as far from God as this “calling” according to Scripture and all of these men claim they follow God's Word. So now the pride of life sets root in the hearts of these hirelings. Not only do they falsely claim that God has singled them out from the rest through this brainwashed "calling" but to add to that boasting, they apply worldly degrees and titles to themselves. The New Testament Church model God specifically gave in Scripture would nearly eliminate this pride of life.

Ministry in these last few centuries has become a career path out of high school for young men 30 years too young to be considered an "elder" by anyone's standard. This career path whether out of public, private or "Christian" high school and college is of the world and never of God. It demonstrates an absolute lack of true faith in the Lord with these worldly credentials, salary and benefits negotiations with pulpit committees, parsonages and tax exemptions. The nicolaitan doctrine of ruler-ship over large groups covering large geographical areas may be the greatest destroyer of the Bride of Christ satan devised and it has reduced His Bride to merely a remnant in these very last days.

Regardless of sect or denomination or independent camp or association- IT IS ALL THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND in these last days.

Apostolic authority along with all the gifts clearly designated by God as temporary, IE..."in part" until the Perfect combination of the Spirit and His Word is come ENDED with the deaths of the true Apostles hand-chosen by our Lord Jesus Christ. In addition, Spiritual growth can only come from true faith and true faith can only come from "hearing His written Word". If the current crop of self-deluded "men of God" would put down men's teachings and listen only to God they would know their "calling" is only in their fleshly minds.
